Sat., November 3, 2007 "RALLY for WRESTLING at Fresno State
On Saturday, November 3rd, we will hold a "RALLY for WRESTLING" at Fresno State. The rally will be held on the Red Parking Lot, just off of Cedar Ave, south of Barstow Ave.
Fresno State will be hosting Utah State at 2p.m. We will begin our RALLY at 12:00 noon. We are trying to get State Senator Dean Florez to attend and support our cause to have wrestling reinstated at Fresno State.
We need the support of the wrestling community in this effort. We are asking that all area (San Joaquin Valley) elementary, middle school and high school coaches bring their teams to this rally, wearing their school team t-shirts/sweatshirts. Please also make banners/posters that support the reinstatement of wrestling, the "outcry" against the over $8+ million spent on sex discrimination lawsuits, and the need for the University to support its community athletically.
This gives people over 2 weeks to prepare. The SaveFresnoWrestling group really needs your cooperation and participation to pull this off. Please help by attending and participating!
Can we count on you and your wrestlers to be there? Please spread the word. I don't have every email for wrestling coaches in the San Joaquin Valley.
