There will be an organizational planning meeting of the Central Valley Wrestling Association. The purpose of our meeting is to plan and coordinate activities for the September 1st Rally and Demonstration at
Bulldog Stadium on Friday, September 1st as Fresno State plays host to Nevada on the ESPN nationally televised game.

>> Save Fresno Wrestling Protest
Date: Friday, September 1st
Time: 4 p.m.
Location: outside the gates of Bulldog Stadium, Barstow and Cedar Avenues in Fresno
Info: This demonstration will occur at the first home football game, as Fresno State hosts Nevada. This game will be nationally televised on ESPN beginning at 5 p.m. PDT (8 pm EDT).

If you are in the Central Valley, it will be televised on Comcast Channel 32 (cable) and Ch. 205 for DirecTV. ESPN has been contacted, so we are hoping that they will interview people either before the game or at halftime.

Bring water, a lawn chair, and something to eat. We'll be there probably for the duration of the game. Bring signs, too, expressing your sentiments for Welty and Boeh cutting the wrestling program.

We will try to convince people to refrain from purchasing concessions inside the stadium.

Sat., November 3, 2007 "RALLY for WRESTLING at Fresno State
On Saturday, November 3rd, we will hold a "RALLY for WRESTLING" at Fresno State. The rally will be held on the Red Parking Lot, just off of Cedar Ave, south of Barstow Ave.

Fresno State will be hosting Utah State at 2p.m. We will begin our RALLY at 12:00 noon. We are trying to get State Senator Dean Florez to attend and support our cause to have wrestling reinstated at Fresno State.

We need the support of the wrestling community in this effort. We are asking that all area (San Joaquin Valley) elementary, middle school and high school coaches bring their teams to this rally, wearing their school team t-shirts/sweatshirts. Please also make banners/posters that support the reinstatement of wrestling, the "outcry" against the over $8+ million spent on sex discrimination lawsuits, and the need for the University to support its community athletically.

This gives people over 2 weeks to prepare. The SaveFresnoWrestling group really needs your cooperation and participation to pull this off. Please help by attending and participating!

Can we count on you and your wrestlers to be there? Please spread the word. I don't have every email for wrestling coaches in the San Joaquin Valley.

Questions??  Call me..... Dr. Bruce Lippmann McLane Wrestling Head Coach (559) 248-5189   classroom (559) 250-9507
