Mrs. Boger:
You are absolutely correct, it affects everyone. What
has happened at Fresno State wrestling this week is
unprecedented. The entire wrestling community across
the nation should be taking notice to this
situation...Getting involved. Think about it, if a
college program that is in the heart of California
wrestling can be dropped, what next? This is a
precedence that shall not be allowed to happen.

Dr. Wetly and Tom Boeh orchestrated one of the most
unethical political maneuvers I have ever seen; hired
Coach Charles knowing the program was on the chopping
blocks (Coach Charles bought a home and moved his
family), allowed him to recruit several talented kids
across the nation, gave no warning to their real
intentions, gave no consideration to the rich
tradition in the Central Valley, and waited until
school ended to drop the ball (Nothing happens in
politics without being planned in advance). They knew
that their reasons for dropping the program would be
contested. The lives that have been affected by their
actions is very sad. Think of the money that parents
have paid to send their kids to Fresno (Recruits from
the Midwest, up and down Cal, and Florida), under the
impression that the program was alive and well, a
promising future of great wrestling. If I were a
parent of a wrestler affected, I would file a lawsuit
for damages done. Think about the hardships of the
current wrestlers, and what they have to do to find
another school to further their education and wrestle.
What if these kids lose a year of competition? Not
good. There are many questions that the wrestling
community must demand a truthful answer...Not smoke
screens and mirrors.

This situation needs to be on CNN, CBS, NBC, and all
nightly news channels. How can John Wetly and Tom Boeh
get away with this form of unethical leadership? What
next? These are leaders that are supposed to be
looking out for the best interest of our children. If
they are able to orchestrate an unethical act, such as
what they did to Fresno wrestling, what else have they
done to undermine the education process?

What they have done to Fresno State wrestling, the
wrestlers, recruits, families, fans, and sport of
wrestling is a travesty. Their actions shall not go
unchecked.
